I’m a freelance journalist based in the Western Cape of South Africa.
I cut my teeth as a travel writer at Traveller24, South Africa’s biggest online travel publication, where I spent four-and-a-half years producing a blend of news articles, quirky stories and destination-specific feature content. During this time I also got a good handle on social media management across various platforms - mostly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Since August 2014 I have also been wearing the hat of editor for Slow Drive, an independent coffee table magazine aimed at capturing the EMOTION and EXPERIENCE of travel.
While I have honed my skills in travel writing, I am passionate about all sorts of storytelling - from general news reporting to putting together user-friendly copy for corporate websites. There's nothing as satisfying as connecting the dots to reveal a new dimension to any topic under the sun, really.
