I hail from the Eastern Cape where they make them strong. Since graduating from Rhodes University with an honours degree in French/English translation, I have always “worked with words,” either as a translator or as an editor-cum-writer in the publishing industry.
I fled the corporate world seven years ago, but have continued to ply my trade as a freelancer from my home office in Cape Town since then. I have largely worked in educational publishing and have been actively involved in developing school and tertiary level materials for over sixteen different markets in Africa.
Besides work, I enjoy reading, travelling and sport and compete regularly in endurance running, cycling and triathlon events. I firmly believe that if you haven’t done at least one hour of exercise per day, you haven’t lived. Thankfully, my husband and children share my passions.
