MARIKE SAYS HELLO

I was born in Namibia and raised in South Africa. Travelled to many places around the world and indulged in many cultures.

You'll see I love to digitally illustrate and photo retouching is also a great passion of mine. I studied at the Stellenbosch Design Academy and worked for companies like Code Marketing, Earthchild Clothing, Adlab Advertising.

Working in a tight deadline driven workspace gives me the drive to succeed in time constraint creativity and time management. I like to be organised giving me the freedom to create in an open mind.

My high school technical drawing teacher once told me,"...always look up - it opens your eyes to a different world". And so it does. I always try to see the world with new eyes and take different roads to never get lost in the easy to follow daily routines. I do my best to apply this to my work ethics - How can I make a design different and stand out, how can I learn from what I've seen and create new ideas.
